Bernie Siu (he/him)

Bernie Siu has 10+ years of zero-to-one product experience in healthcare / life sciences artificial intelligence, machine learning, and robotics. Bernie is currently in Product Management at Verily (an Alphabet company) in AI applications for consumer, clinical and enterprise. His expertise spans large language model development and deep learning. 

Prior to Verily, Bernie was a co-founder of KlevaHealth, a  and led the team in developing COVID tests in 6 months. Additionally, Bernie was a founding employee (#11) of clinical engineering at Verb Surgical (acquired by Johnson & Johnson Medtech), a joint venture in robotics and digital surgery.

Bernie graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh with a BS in Bioengineering, holds an MD from Stanford School of Medicine and earned his MBA from Harvard Business School. 

Outside of his professional life, Bernie is an advocate for health equity and has worked on initiatives for LGBTQ+ and Asian-American communities. He is a co-author of 9 patents and 8 publications.
